Cletus Anye President Of NTACCUL
Most people in the Diasporas
have lost confidence in friends and family members when it comes to investing
back home given past experiences. There are cases of houses constructed only in
pictures after fabulous sums have been wired in from abroad only to turn out
that the colossal sums were being squandered by those entrusted with. The
management of Ntarinkon Cooperative Credit Union NTACCUL shall in the days
ahead set out on a Diasporas campaign to rekindle the spirit of investment back
home in Cameroonians living abroad, this time through NTACCUL.
This disclosure was made
public by the General Manager of NTACCUL, Mr. Divine Muma during an award
ceremony of excellence organized by the Guardian Post Newspaper at Azam last
February 28. NTACCUL had a prize as best managed microfinance institution
demonstrating unmatched customer services. This goes to portray accountability
and transparency in handling members’ savings. The General Manager who
accompanied the President, Matoya Cletus Anye to receive the award said it was
the second award of excellence NTACCUL was receiving for 2014. The first award
was accorded by Think Tank Group dubbed milestone award, for upholding the
spirit of excellence, business development, growth and expansion. Some three
years ago NTACCUL had just 7000 members and today it has grown to 32000 with a
lot of pressure at the counters. The General Manager said in order to decongest
the counters an Automated Teller Machine shall be introduced in all the
branches as NTACCUL expanse to other towns and cities.
According to the President
of NTACCUL, this vision to get Cameroonians in the Diasporas to restart
investing back home through NTACCUL is in line with realizing vision 2035 as
propagated by the Head of State Paul Biya. NTACCUL shall dispatch a team of
experts in investment projects to tour America and Europe talking to
Cameroonians on how to stress free invest back home. Another package introduced
at NTACCUL is the one stop shop where water/electricity bills are paid at all
NTACCUL branches in the country. Members would have to queue up at payment
centers of these institutions just pay bills. Talking about the secret behind
the rapid growth the General Manager said it is good customer services which
sells the credit union to the public that keep streaming in, in their numbers.
