CPDM Reorganization Fever Grips Donga Mantung, Power Tussle Feared

The five Sections of the CPDM party in Donga Mantung Division have all come alive following the announcement for reorganization of the party by the Central Committee. Various meetings, some nocturnal is the order of the day with aspirants garnering for support from militants. Composition of lists is the hardest nut to crack now as blackmail, backstabbing and slander has taken precedence in all the Sections.
Following the strict instructions on the    criterion for eligibility of any aspirants with one stating that aspirant must have been an executive member in any of the basic organs of the party, this gives more powers to the old guards who shall not let easy any newcomer take over from them even if they have nothing to show in terms of results. The SDF party enjoyed monopoly of Donga Mantung Division since 1996 and the myth was only broken in 2007 when Nwa and Ako/Misaje were cut off as special constituencies. The CPDM won the three councils and two parliamentary seats. Nkambe and Ndu were still held tide by SDF until 2013 when Nkambe council was snatched away by the CPDM thrashing the SDF in landmark victory but denied the seat in Parliament with opposition votes from Ndu. In same election Ako Council went back to the opposition SDF though overwhelming votes from Misaje retained the lone parliamentary seat for the CPDM.
All these strides made in Donga Mantung by the CPDM is grossly thanks to a handful of young and dynamic people who made sacrifices both financially and materially. In Ako/Misaje Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry marshal a powerful CPDM team in 2007 election and the victory came calling. In Nwa same year Hon Mbuckseck Genesis placed the magic cards and CPDM victory fell on his hands. In 2013 Nkambe witnessed a new paradigm shift with the coming of Ngala Gerard on the CPDM platform sweeping Hon Awudu Mbaya and Late mayor Mangoh Jones Tanko off their feet and luckily for Hon Awudu Mbaya, votes from Ndu rescued him to retain the seat as MP for Nkambe central given that Nkambe/Ndu is one constituency. With Alhadji Abdou Borno Kanfon as CPDM flag bearer in Ndu the SDF had it hot as victory only went their way thanks to some shortcoming within the CPDM campaign team noticed and capitalized upon by members of the SDF campaign team.
In Ako the Member of Parliament Hon. Abeh Michael Ndrah, who was tipped to take over the section from Hon Ntoi Joseph former MP, has declined saying he does not want to cumulate the two positions. From information gathered, Ntoi Eugene, is bracing to take over the Section from his father. Other contender like Mallam Salifu has not made his stance clear to the public on this issue. In Misaje the clause of having been an executive member of the party might knock out many. As at now only Nkenda Simon Sunday former Mayor of Misaje and present Section vice President  and Incumbent Section President Mayor Sammy Mgbata are very qualified to take up the section. The choice of Nkenda shall not fathom well with the power brokers given that since the last election Dr. Fuh Calistus does not see eye to eye with Nkenda. In Nwa between Mayor Ngomfe David and Hon Mbuckseck Genesis present Section President, there are indications that one of the two must have to succumb to death for the other to thrive. This two are sworn enemies that see nothing good in each other yet belong to the same party.
Apart of Nkambe that has Ngala Gerard as acting Section President pending confirmation through election as Section President for Donga Mantung I Section Nkambe, Ndu Section has made a public declaration in readiness to this reorganization with a list headed by Alhadji Abdou Kanfon Borno for Section President. He is calling on militants to give his team the much needed support as prerequisite for 2018 victory. He pointed out that his team has something to show in the results of 2013 twin election where CPDM Ndu recorded a 43% up from 38% in 2007 up from 28% in 2002 up from 18% in 1996. This record is gradual upward strides towards victory for the CPDM in Ndu.
