Bamenda III Council/SEEPD MoU To Steer Hope For Persons With Disabilities

Mayor Fonguh Cletus, Bamenda III Council
Councilors of the Bamenda III Council have empowered Mayor Fonguh Cletus to sign a memorandum of understanding for collaboration in achieving comprehensive inclusive development. The MoU shall be signed between the Council and the Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Program (SEEPD) an outfit put in place by the CBC Health Services to cater for the welfare of persons with disabilities. The said collaboration is with emphasis on disability inclusive development in the Bamenda III Municipality.
This decision by Councilors that would steer hope for persons with disabilities was arrived at during the midyear assessment session that held on August 14 2015 in the presence of supervisory authority represented by the first Assistant SDO for Mezam Mr. Jean Pierre Ndoumbe Dika. The MoU is in line with a training Councilors had recently on Disability inclusive development in the decentralization process. In This session Councilors did asked the Mayor to drag Tubah Council to court over the illegal occupation of the old council premises supposed to belong to Bamenda III council. Other councilors were of the opinion that Bamenda III Council should not waste resources on a matter which already in the courts given that Tubah Council has stage a legal battle with the Mezam administration and further more the administrative court does not entertain land dispute without proper demarcation with pillars planted. This plea was overwhelmingly turned down in favour of heading straight to court with the matter in order to forcefully throw out Tubah from that premises and rents on that premises would be paid to Bamenda III in arrears.
According to the Fon of Nkwen HRM Fon Azehfor III, this decision is appropriate given that the Council is about to use administrative procedure to settle the matter. The said land in question at Tubah was given by his Father given the central position for villages that constituted the then Tubah Council with Nkwen inclusive. Today autonomous councils have sprung up and is only right that Nkwen fondom takes back what rightfully belongs to her.
Talking about evaluation of Council activities in the last six months, Mayor Fonguh Cletus intimated that though resources were so scarce, the Council was able to realize a good number of projects. In the sector of roads, a good number of roads were graded and new roads opened, in education, didactic materials were distributed. The Council received a huge consignment of equipment for the giant water project ongoing in the municipality. The percentage of realization on the projected budget stood at 29% which the Mayor said was not very good yet promised that by the end of the year the council must have attended above 80% of her budget. On the other hand most of the competences transferred to local councils are yet to be imputed in to council account thereby slowing down execution. On the way forward, the Mayor reiterated that his management would ensure that all recommendations made by the various committees are put in to effect.

Misaje Race For CPDM Reorganization Goes Deathly, Imported Witch Doctor ‘Marabou’ Swings To action Caught Sodomizing Children

An imported witch doctor “marabou” who goes by the name Mahamat Adams from Nigeria was arrested along side her importer one Madam Lami Djibril and taken to Nkambe to answer charges of alleged criminal activities in Misaje. The witchdoctor is said to have had in his possession a Cameroonian Identity card issued in Nkambe. Caught in the act satisfying his carnal edge on a male child, a Gendarmerie Officer heard a child screaming inside the marabou’s room so he forced the door open only to find this agent of darkness struggling with an erected penis to penetrate the anus of a minor.
When he was apprehended and locked up in a gendarmerie cell in Misaje, his host Madam Lami Djibiril is said to have made several calls to some top Government officials in Yaounde and the culprit was released on bail. The said Mahamat Adams was later aided to flee to Nigeria jumping bail and later he found his way back and the population of Misaje threatened to burn down the residence of Madam Djibril if the culprit is not put behind bars given the pandemonium caused already. This time the DO for Misaje stepped ignoring all the calls from high places and ordered the arrest of the Marabou, Madam Djibril and her husband and their subsequent transfer to Nkambe.  Sources in Misaje say reasons for this high profile calls is because Madam Lami Djibril is presently the care taker of  cattle own by the said top government officials in Misaje so enjoys their protection in times like this. The administration of Donga Mantung is said to have cautioned  one of these top government official to stay off this case for the act is against the constitution of Cameroon. The Assistant State Counsel for Donga Mantung Division who was presented the case file confessed to Eden that in his four years working in the Division, he has never witness such show of concern in a matter still under investigation from top personalities such as this one.
According to this concerned elite and SDF strongman for Misaje, Maah Gabesin Isaac, he says the CPDM elite in Misaje imported this fellow to come and fortify them in preparation for the upcoming reorganization of the party structures. Madam Lami Djibiril is vying for the post of WCPDM in Misaje after she was denied the opportunity to be elected alternate Member of Parliament for Ako/Misaje constituency last 2013 twin election. According to him this “marabou” has caused untold harm to very young children in Misaje committing sodomy in exchange for a gift of a bicycle. The story of stolen “body of Christ” communion from  Catholic Church Misaje that was later on dump along the street as reported in the Post Newspaper early this year is linked to this “Marabou” following a confession by one of his victims on his dying bed. According information gathered, this young man who was a mass servant, he said the marabou who was also abusing his anus, tricked him in to stealing the communion for black magic in exchange for some spiritual powers to be a star in sporting activities.
The population of Misaje Sub Division holds their Chief Executive Officer, Nkwenti Acha Gilbert in high repute as he ensured that the culprits of this demonic act were re-arrested and taken to Nkambe for justice to follow its course in the area especially at this time when security is threatened. The culprits were dragged before the courts of first instance Nkambe on Wednesday August 12 2015 to answer charges of practicing homosexuality on children in Misaje.
Through a phone conversation with Journalists in reaction to these allegations levied against her person and that of her tenant, Mahamat Adams, Madam Djibril refuted any wrong doing on her part and the said Marabou saying proof of this is that he left after the arrest by overzealous Gendarmerie Officer and came back. According to her, the false allegations about her wanting to win the WCPDM Presidency using magical powers are the handiwork of her detractors who know her enormous contributions to the success of the party in Misaje and now are bent of robbing her good name in mud.

SDF Challenges Government To Penetrate Boko Haram Through Previous Negotiators Of Ransom

Given the fierce battle between the Cameroon soldiers and the Boko Haram insurgents in the North recording many civilian casualties as perpetrated by several suicides bombing as witnessed of recently as orchestrated by the extremist sect, the government of Cameroon has been advised to change strategy. The government once held it self high as a good negotiator when French, Chinese and Canadian Citizens were captured by this same group after over four successful bargains rescuing the captives. The Social Democratic Front Party SDF which is
Cameroon’s main opposition party has challenged the government of Cameroon to penetrate Boko Haram through these negotiators who have been dealing with the insurgents in the rescue mission.
According to Chairman Fru Ndi, it would be a waste of time and resources beating about the bush when they are person within government circle that have had previous meetings with members of the Boko Haram and can safe the country of this trouble of chasing shadows. The use of guns and soldiers in uniform only help Boko Haram agents to carry out successful operations. SDF chieftain says in as much as the soldiers are doing a credible job there is need to change modus operandi and use soldiers in plain cloth in order to easily penetrate the Boko Haram. More civilians should be trained as military spies to monitor their activities and report back to the soldiers for a strategic attack.
